Etienne Krähenbühl's exhibition in Lausanne

2013/11/21-2014/02/23

From the niobium-titanium to the nickel-titanium, from the iron oxidized to the engraved paper, from Bing Bang to the Tiempo Suspendido… it is a trip where you will be able to discover the evolution of the artist covering four floors of the Espace Arlaud (Plau Riponne 2 encore, 1005 Lausanne).

The work of Etienne Krähenbühl is characterized by the perpetual gestation of a work in progress. Situated between art and science, philosophy and poetry, turns into the watching of the natural phenomenon, into the listening of the big existential questions and into the search of a poetical sublimation of the matter”.

(F.Jaunin)

«The notion of the time is a constant in the work of Krähenbühl: the time as testimony or expression of the artist, the materialization of his memory. The oxide and the use are the materialization of the time and its metamorphosis. Memory of a past, remembrance, testimony or trace in constant transformation. The artist plays with the physical properties of the materials, creates works in which the sound, the movement, the contrast between monumental character and fragility acquire a main role. «Creations from a deep comprehension of the possibilities of expression of the matter, the sculptures propose a new and fascinating reflection to us on we ourselves and what surrounds us»

(Joan-Francesc Ainaud).

The work "Tiempo suspendido", edition Till Schaap, will propose for the first time a completed panorama of the creations of the artist.
