CAMINO Angel

ÁNGEL CAMINO (Valoria la Buena, Valladolid, 1953).

He studied chemistry at University of Huesca and at Technical School of Bilbao from 1969 to 1973. At Escuela de Deva he met the sculptor Jorge Oteiza and the following year he got inscribed in Escola Massana in Barcelona to study Sculpture and Engraving from 1974 to 1978. In this period he founded the Experimental Workshop of Plastic Arts in Barcelona, while he was working at the Atelier 17 in Paris and became part of the collective Taller Nou (focused in printing and promoting engravings). In the following years he started to teach engraving (discipline which he did not leave). For a long time he was giving conferences about the engraving and was participating in simposiums about the sculpture. In 1979 he realized his first individual exposition, which was followed by several others around all Spain.

Since 1987 we can admire his sculptural works in public spaces of Italy, Korea and England, as well as Andorra and Spain.
